In line with his determination to end youth unemployment in Kwara at the shortest delay, Senator Bukola Saraki has commenced a one-week sensitization programme for beneficiaries of the premier employment scheme in 2014.
The 500 beneficiaries of the employment scheme were drawn from the Youth Unemployment Summit held on 9th December, 2013, where the Senator had a thorough head to head interactive session with unemployed youths in the state.
Speaking today at the sensitization programme, the director of youths, Nasir Subair who inaugurated the sensitization process on behalf of the senator said since the actualization of the summit on 9th December 2013, there has been a consistent effort to ensure that all youths present are empowered in their choices of trade, hereby launching them into the working force.
The beneficiaries have started submitting their business plans based on their respective choices.
Further speaking, Nasir said “This sensitization which has commenced today being Wednesday 15 of January will come to an end on Wednesday 22nd of January; after which all registered beneficiaries will be trained and fully empowered”
