Nigeria’s professional football league which was suspended during the country’s participation in the FIFA World Cup in Russia, is expected to resume in few days but no date has been agreed upon at the moment.
Prompt News Online can exclusively reveal that the dates that are circulating in the media have not been confirmed by the League Management Company (LMC) as consultations are still ongoing to get a situable date for the resumption of the league.
According to a top official of the LMC who pleaded anonymity, ” the dates of the resumption of the Nigeria Proffesional Football League (NPFL) circulating in the social and mainstream media have not been confirmed by the LMC”.
He however told Prompt News that LMC will in few days make an official statement on the league resumption.
