Managing Director of NEPZA, Emmanuel James has assured Nigerians and indeed local and international investors that the Centenary City Abuja will soon become a reality.
Speaking on Wednesday during the introduction of Joint Development Foreign Partner, Front Range FZE by Centenary City Plc, managers of the new city, Dr. Jime said that the mega city has come to stay, adding that the project will attract huge Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and halt capital flight which has drained Nigeria’s foreign reserves.
He expressed believe that the project will soon come on stream after investors are now mobilising to site to commence work in the project.
Earlier in his welcome remarks at the occasion, the Managing Director of Centenary City Plc, Dr. Odenigwe Ike Michaels explained that Nigerians from all walks of life do not have to go to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates to own palatial apartments as what is in the Arab country will soon be available in Abuja.
According to him, “Centenary City Abuja has started in earnest as developers have signed up to construct a world class city that will accommodate both the rich and poor. The city will be for everyone”.
Michaels disclosed that soon a reputable Nigerian Estate Developer, Dantata Group will kick-start the building of structures in the city, adding that heavy construction equipments are currently working on a Polo Field by Alhaji Alhassan Dantata.
Also speaking at the event attended by two traditional rulers representing the original inhabitants of the project site at Kuje and Juwa Emirates along the Airport Expressway, Abuja, boss of Dantata Group, Alhaji Baba Dantata told the media that his company will start the construction of a high rise to be called Buhari Towers at the city.
Jaimal Shergill, the Executive Director of Front Range FZE showed the gathering video overviews of Master plan, Polo Field, Safari Park, StopBoxx and Reviews of the Big Model of the city.
