By Harry Awurumibe, Abuja Head Coach of Nigeria U- 20 women’s football team, Falconets Christopher Danjuma Musa has beaten the deadline given by the world football governing body FIFA for the submission of the final list of 21 players who will represent Nigeria in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup slated to kick off in France from August 5.
Danjuma listed three goalkeepers, six defenders, six midfielders and six forwards with reliable striker, Rashidat Ajibade; dependable goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie andCaptain, Oluwakemi Famuditi among the France- bound players.
Expectedly, the Falconets gaffer has dropped four players from the team of 25 he took to Austria where the squad is currently perfecting it tactics ahead of Nigeria’s first match in France on August 6 against Germany.
The four dropped players who will return to Nigeria on August 2 are goalkeeper, Mercy Vincent of Confluence Queens, midfielder Lilian Tule of Bayelsa Queens forwards- Charity Ruben of Ibom Angels and Folashade Ijamilusi of Spring Soccer Academy.
