It was another moment of celebration as people from all walks of life converged on Ososo, Edo state for the third edition of the annual ‘Ososo carnival’ to usher in Year 2014.
The Carnival was organised by the President of Ososo Cultural Renaissance and Development Foundation (OSCRADEL), Emmanuel Agbaje.
Ososo, a town in Akoko Edo local government area is one of the three tourist sites in Edo state that play host to tourists across the country.
Activities marking the annual carnival of the carnival included burn fire night, education summit as well as mountain climbing.
Present at the education summit were top politicians including, the former House of representative member and Agriculture commissioner, Tunde Lakoju, House of Representatives member, Peter Akpatasin and the Executive Chairman of Akoko Edo Local government, Akerejola Joseph.
The beauty pageant produced Miss Ruth Sanni, as the Face of Afemai, succeeding the former Queen Miss Ocheche Ivarah.
The grand finally of the carnival was the Carnival Street Dance which featured the popular musician Daddy Shokkey.
The Olososo of Ososo, Oba Anslem Obaitan, while declaring the carnival open, called on sons and daughters of the community to come together and develop the town.
He was accompanied by other traditional rulers, the Otaru of Igarra a and host of others, and the Chairman Akoko Edo local government, Akerejola Joseph.
