An appeal has gone to all fathers to be worthy ambassadors and role models to their children, with a view to guiding them aright in the ways to thread in future.
Chairman of a nongovernment organisation, Togetherness Friendship Association, Mr Adeniyi Moses Shodimu, made the appeal during the celebration of this year’s Father’s Day, held in Lagos on Tuesday.
He pointed out that role of fathers remain critical to the peace and development of any society, while assuring of the organization’s continued support to the less privileged as usual and implementation of projects and programmes that would serve as empowerment for them.
“People out there are looking up to us as fathers, we want to congratulate all the men out there, who are working diligently to be good fathers.
“I want to passionately urge all of us to continue to remain as agents of peace, discipline, upright and responsible head of our various homes.
Corroborating the Chairman appeal, his Vice, Mr Oluwatosin Oladele Fagboyo, urged fathers to join hands with mothers to build homes that will contribute meaningfully to the growth of the nation and world at large.
He appealed to fathers to use the occasion of this year Father’s Day to rededicate themselves to their responsibilities at home and ensure that they give their children the necessary and adequate he training that can make them a good example of their homes.
” As fathers, let us meditate on the significance of our paternal duties and strengthen our family structures for the sake of the children, “he said.
