Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun, has expressed shock at the news of the demise of a renowned radio presenter on Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation, Peter Okodua.
According to a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on media, Funmi Wakama, Amosun said he was saddened by the news of the exit of the veteran journalist, especially coming at a time when his wealth of experience was mostly needed in the media industry.
“Peter Okodua was a revered media practitioner, cerebral presenter, who popularized Newspaper Review on OGBC in the 90s and anchored the popular current affairs programme, Sunday Morning Live, for over two decades on the same station. He has certainly left his footprints on the sands of time,” the governor said.
Amosun commiserated with the family of the deceased, management and staff of Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation, the people of Ogun State, and Edo State, where the late sports journalist hailed from.
