The Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr Afolabi Afuape, who made the disclosure on Friday in Abeokuta, said the job offer was to appreciate Adesokan for making the state and Nigeria proud in the game.
He said the player, currently on international engagement , had been adjudged the best in the country.
The commissioner said Adesokan defeated her opponents in various competitions, including Kenya International Series 2013 where she won a gold and a bronze medal.
He said Adesokan also won three bronze medals at the All African Senior Championship (South Africa 2017) and two gold medals at the 1st Mutual Benefit Assurance National Badminton Championship (Lagos 2017).
According to Afuape, the job offer will enable the government to keep a close watch on the athlete in order to ensure better grooming in subsequent competitions.
The commissioner, who said the best way to develop sports in the country was to discover young talents at the grassroots, gave an assurance that those in other sports would also be given jobs.
