By Gracious Akujobi President of Rugby Federation Fom Edwad Pam, says he is optimistic the game of Rugby will get the needed recognition it deserves in the nearest future.
“We have had people play rugby in Nigeria since the sixties; it is just that the aspect of marketing rugby has not been great. Henceforth, we will do a better job” Fom told Prompt News Online in Abuja.
He says the Federation would be looking forward to qualifying for Rugby World Cup, Common Wealth Games and the Olympics.
His words, “We are looking forward to qualifying for our World Cup, Common Wealth Games and the Olympics. Hitherto, we have not qualified in any but we are optimistic we will qualify. We tried to qualify last year for Russia but we narrowly missed out but this time we will do better”.
