LONDON – After 1-0 defeat to France female national team on Friday, Mo Marley, the new England national coach said that she would be 100 percent willing to recall Eniola Aluko back into the team.
The 102 cap Chelsea player said she felt vindicated when the Football Association apologised for racist remarks made to her by former boss Mark Sampson, allegations which ended in a hearing at Parliament’s Digital, Culture,Media and Sports Committee.
Speaking at the hearing, A lump claimed that the Football Association’s attempts to settle her dispute were borderline blackmail bit Marley insists form is the only criteria by which she pick her squad.
‘I’ve only been in the post for just only two weeks and we’ve had pretty much all the talent reporters out exploring all the players in the league’, said the interim manager, who was in charge on Friday’s friendly match against France in Valenciennes. ‘I want to give everybody that opportunity, that if you’re playing very well and playing regularly go your club, and you are getting good talent reports, then I’m in a position where I can actually look at that’.
Asked if that meant A lump would be considered for selection, she added:
‘While I’m the manager,100 percent.
‘We’ve had all the talent reporters assessing everybody. It’s for me to find the players who can help us get to the World Cup and get from number three in the world to number one’.
