By Gracious Akujobi Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Gbenga Elegbeleye has sent a congratulatory message to the Golden Eaglets after beating Sweden in the semi-final of the ongoing FIFA U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
He said Eaglets 3-0 defeat of hard fighting Sweden has taken Nigeria to another level in the world of soccer.
He therefore, charged the boys to go all out in the final to lift the trophy by repeating their first round success over Mexico.
The DG also noted said Golden Eaglets’ qualification for the final is the result of hard work, dedication and total commitment, assuring that a lot of good things await them should they emerge victorious at the final.
Elegbeleye said, “Once again our Darling Golden Eaglets have made us proud with their scintillating performance over the highly rated Sweden.
“Nigerians are praying for them and I am confident they will bring back the cup to Nigeria by the special grace of God”.
