D’Tigress players in Orlando, Florida will later today (Saturday) storm Lagos, Nigeria for the next phase of their camping exercise in preparation for the 2017 Women Afrobasket competition in Mali.

The Sam Vincent tutored side is expected to touch down in Nigeria aboard a Delta Airline at the Murtala International Airport, Lagos.

The Technical crew before their departure from Orlando had to prune the list from the initial 15 earlier invited by the Technical committee of the Nigeria Basketball Federation to 7 before joining their counterpart at the Lagos camp.

General Manager and former international, Mfon  Udoka  will lead the strong delegation that includes national team regular, Ndidi Madu, Adaeze Alaeze and Aisha Mohammed who will arrive Nigeria on Saturday evening for the second phase of the training.

2016 Olympics qualifiers revelation, Ezinne Kalu also made the final list from the Orlando camp alongside Cecelia Okoye and Ugo Nwaigwe.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, 6th August, 2017 Mactabene Amachree (Player Development Manager) will storm Nigeria while the duo of WNBA stars, Joyce Ekworomadu, and Evelyn Akhator are expected at a later date

The team will train and play series of tune up matches with some of the top Nigerian basketball clubs at the Indoor Sports hall of the National Stadium, Lagos before their departure for Bamako, Mali on 16th of August for Bamako.
