ILORIN – As Kwara state joined three other states created in 1967 to celebrate 50th anniversary, Kwara Youth Initiative Forum has tasked the youths of the state to put on their thinking caps.
In a statement, the Forum posited that the state is not where it ought to be after 50 years of existence.
The statement tagged “Kwara @ 50: Celebration of Awakening and Hope and signed by the Forum State Coordinator, Alhaji Sikiru Wahab, said Kwarans must wake up from their slumber and take action to move the state forward.
“Compare Kwara state to the three other states – Lagos, Kano and Rivers, created the same time, which position is Kwara?
Is Kwara develop or not? Does welfare of Kwarans and infrastructures in the state worth being celebrated?
“Now Kwara youths, let us THINK, not just THINK but also SPEAK, not only SPEAK but also take Aligned Action in order to manifest the state of our dreams.
“Kwara state belongs to nobody but belong to every Kwarans. God bless the YOUTH, God bless KWARANS,” Alhaji Wahab charged.
