Some operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Wednesday, raided the house of the immediate past Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Mohammed Bello Adoke.
The operatives were said to have broken down the doors of his residence in Kano.
Prompt News gathered that there was however, no evidence of any search warrant.
After searching everywhere and the roof, sources said they found nothing.
“There was no evidence of a search warrant but they broke down some doors, searched everywhere and the roof.
“No information on the actual mission of the operatives.
“This invasion is without deference to the ongoing cases in court against the ex-AGF,” the source said.
Our correspondent made several calls to the EFCC Head of Media, Wilson Uwujaren, but he did not pick the calls.
Prompt News Online reports that Mr. Adoke has been dragged to court by the EFCC over his alleged involvement in the controversial Malabu Oil deal.
However, the former Minister has maintained that the EFCC is working to protect the interest of a powerful family who felt they were short-changed in the Malabu oil deal settlement.
