Med-View Airline on Sunday announced that the first batch of 805 pilgrims that performed this year’s 2013 Hajj in Saudi Arabia have arrived in the country.
According to a statement by Oyibotha Obuke, on behalf of the airline, the pilgrims landed at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos and the Ilorin Airport.
Also, another 298 pilgrims from Ondo State arrived at the Ilorin Airport aboard the airline’s B767 aircraft at 5.30am.
Obuke said the airline was pleased with the safe arrival of the pilgrims after a successful pilgrimage in the Holy Land.
The management of the airline therefore, expressed optimism that airlifting of pilgrims allocated to it back home would be completed on record time.
The statement said another batch comprises of pilgrims from Ogun and Oyo states are due to arrive on Monday.
A member of the Osun State House of Assembly, M. B. O. Ibrahim, a pilgrim, was said to have commended Med-View for a hitch-free Hajj operations.
He was also said to have called on the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria to improve on facilities at the Hajj Camp in Lagos.
