YOLA – The management of American University of Nigeria (AUN) has debunked reports in a section of the media that two ladies are missing from the University.
In a statement on Monday, the Executive Director, Communications and Public Relations, Mr. Daniel Okereke, described the report as misleading, assuring the students and parents that no student is missing from the University.
“This is to inform the public, and our students and their parents in particular, that NO STUDENT IS MISSING FROM AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA.
“Both the headline and accompanying story are incorrect. By several accounts, the incident involving the ladies, who graduated from AUN some years back, took place in Abuja, and not in Yola.
“While we join friends and well-wishers in praying for the early reunion of our former students with their families, fact is, there is no student missing from American University of Nigeria.
“The American University of Nigeria has just concluded a well-attended spring 2017 semester orientation and pledge ceremony while classes have resumed in earnest,” Mr. Okereke stated.
