By Harry Awurumibe Barely one week after she was recommended for sanctioning by the League Management Company (LMC) for her role in the much criticised season opener match between Kano Pillars and FC lfeanyiubah in Kano, the referee in the center of the abandoned game, Folusho Ajayi will be on duty again.
The Oyo state- based woman in black has been appointed yet again to be the Center Referee in Match Day 4 between Gombe United and Plateau United FC billed for Wednesday in Gombe.
The Referee Appointment Committee (RAC) and Nigeria Referees Association (NRA) may have ignored the candid suggestion of the LMC to suspend Ajayi for the time being following her role in the abandonment of an important match which was even on cable television seen across the world.
Ajayi had also in the past football seasons officiated matches which ended in fiasco including Plateau United versus Heartland FC in Jos yet she is always given important matches to handle.
Meanwhile, a stakeholder, Chief Charles Azubuike has disagreed with the NRA and RAC for giving Ajayi another match just s week after her bad judgment bungled the Kano Pillars and FC lfeanyiubah match, adding that the
early return of Ajayi is very suspicious and condemnable.
Azubuike who is a football financier said the LMC must not allow bad officiating to damage the image of the League.
