A former Governor of Katsina state, Ibrahim Shema, has been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Shema, the immediate past governor of Katsina, was elected under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to EFCC, 59-year-old Shema is being wanted in connection with a case of criminal conspiracy, inflation of contract, abuse of office, diversion of funds and embezzlement in the region of billions of naira.
He was said to have ignored several invitations extended to him by the commission since December 2015.
The former governor who hails from Dutsen-ma Local Government Area of Katsina state, the EFCC said could not be located at his residences in Katsina and Abuja.
