WARRI – Niger Delta Avengers, the militant group that has been bombing oil installations of late has again, blown up crude oil trunkline operated by the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria in Batan, Warri, Delta State.
The attack was said to have being carried in the early hours of Monday, around Camp 3.
Delta State police spokesperson, Celestina Kalu, has confirmed the attack.
Niger Delta Avengers have vowed to sustain bombing of oil facilities in the region until zero oil production is achieved.
Some western nations including well-meaning Nigerians have called on the Nigerian Government to dialogue with the militants but it appears the group is not ready to embrace talks.
In the recent past, the militants have blown up oil and gas installations operated by Agip, Chevron, Mobil, Shell and state-owned NNPC.
