The federal government has announced Tuesday, July 5 and Wednesday, July 6, 2016 as public holidays to mark Eid-ul-Fitri celebrations.
Minister of Interior, Lt Gen Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd), announced this on behalf of the government of the federation on Thursday in Abuja.
Dambazau advised all followers of the religion of Islam as well as Nigerians in general to spread the spiritual benefits of Ramadan, which are love, peace and justice to their every day and by doing this, they will contribute to the growth and development of Nigeria.
Eid-ul-Fitr is an annual event which marks the end of the 29 0r 30 days Ramadan fast by Muslims all over the world.
