A cheftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ojo Madueke, is dead.
He was said to have died in Abuja on Wednesday evening shortly on arrival from the United States of America.
Madueke, 71, from Abia state was appointed Minister of Culture and Tourism in 1999 by former President Olusegun Obasanjo and later deployed to the Ministry of Transportation.
In 2007, late President Umar Yar’Adua appointed him Minister of Foreign Affairs and served through the regime of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Madueke was also appointed Nigerian High Commissioner to Canada till May, 2015.
Until is death, he was the Secretary of PDP Board of Trustees (BoT).
