President of the Senate, David Mark will on Tuesday play host to his Chinese counterpart, Zhang Dejiang.
Dejiang is the current Chairman; National People’s Congress (NPC) of China and doubles as the President of the country’s Parliament.
Both leaders will hold bilateral talks on Wednesday at the National Assembly, Abuja bothering on security, politics and Economic co-operation between the two countries.
They will also discuss issues on legislative co-operation and exchange programmes that would deepen democracy in both countries.
Mark will accompany his guest to the Presidential villa, Abuja to pay a courtesy visit on President Goodluck Jonathan.
Part of the visit includes, courtesy calls on the Speaker, House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bamanga Tukur and Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar.
Before departing Nigeria on Thursday, the Chinese leader will commission the new Chinese Cultural Centre in Abuja.
The visit is part of the renewed Economic and cultural co-operation between Nigeria and China. Last month, President Jonathan led a high powered delegation to China on Economic mission.
