Former Fifa president Sepp Blatter and suspended Uefa boss Michel Platini have failed in their appeals against bans from all football-related activities.
According to report monitored on BBC, they have however, had the period reduced from eight to six years.
FIFA says “the Appeal Committee considered that Mr. Platini’s and Mr. Blatter’s activities and the services they had rendered to FIFA, UEFA and football in general over the years should deserve appropriate recognition as a mitigating factor.”
Platini had signified interest in contesting the FIFA presidential election billed for Friday but was disqualified having been banned by the Ethics Committee.
