By Ibrahim Ali The Presidency Wednesday held a consultative meeting with the National Assembly, APC and some key party leaders at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo presided over the meeting in the absence of President Muhammadu Buhari, who is away in Saudi Arabia on official visit.
In attendance were the APC national chairman, John Odigie Oyegun and key national and zona officers of the party.
From the National Assembly were Senate President Bukola Saraki and the Deputy Speaker of the House o Representatives, Hon Yusuf Lasun.
Also present were national leaders, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Bisi Akande.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal and key aides to the Vice President were also present.
The statement issued by Laolu Akande, Media Aide to the Vice President after the meeting reads:
“Select leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, drawn from the party’s National Headquarters, the legislative and executive arms of government had a consultative meeting on issues affecting the party and the nation.
“The meeting, which held at the Vice President’s conference room, was very useful and resourceful towards achieving the goals of the party and the government.”
