Gombi market in Adamawa state, north-east Nigeria was on Friday hit by a suicide bomber.
The attack it was gathered left scores dead and several others wounded.
The attack which occurred at the grains section of the weekly (every Friday) market was said to have been carried out by a boy.
As at the time of filling this report, the casualty figures could not be ascertained just as no group has claimed responsibility.
However, the dreaded Boko Haram sect has intensified attacks in Adamawa state lately.
Prompt News recalls that Gombi in Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa was one of the towns captured by the Boko Haram terrorists in 2014.
It was however recaptured by the Nigerian troops.
