By Gloria Emmanuel Three weeks after his arrest by the personnel of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Olisa Metuh Thursday afternoon regained his freedom from Kuje Prison having met the bail conditions given to him by the court.
Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja had on Wednesday varied the bail conditions given to Mr. Metuh.
Apart from the N400 million bail sum, the Judge had also ordered that he must provide sureties who must be property owners in the Maitama District of Abuja.
However on Wednesday, Justice Abang, varied the order to the two sureties must be owners of properties in any area of the Federal Capital Territory.
The PDP spokesperson is facing trial over allegation that he received N400 million from the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col Sambo Dasuki (rtd).
It is believed that the money was released from the $2.1 billion meant for arms purchase but allegedly disbursed for political purposes by the embattled former NSA.
