Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has dismissed criticism of his penchant for dancing at public functions, insisting that his love for entertainment has never interfered with his responsibilities as governor.
Adeleke made the clarification in a post on his official social media account while responding to those who have questioned his frequent dance displays at public events.
The governor explained that dancing was part of his family’s culture and personality, stressing that he was capable of combining leisure with the demands of governance.
“I dance because in my family, we are jolly good fellows,” Adeleke said.
He maintained that there was a proper time for every activity, noting that dancing and official duties could coexist without one affecting the other.
“As I am dancing, I am working. There is time for everything, there is time to dance and there is time to work,” he stated.
The governor also rejected claims that his public dance performances were evidence of poor commitment to governance.
According to him, his administration has executed projects and introduced programmes across various sectors of the state, demonstrating that his activities at social events have not prevented him from delivering on his mandate.
“Dancing does not stop me from working. I have delivered across all sectors,” Adeleke
