The Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Muhammad Usman Ankwai, has passed away. He reportedly died in Egypt on Monday following a brief illness.
Ankwai, who represented Zuru constituency, was elected Speaker of the 10th Assembly on June 8, 2023.
His sudden death has sent shockwaves through the state’s political circles.
