The Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed has inaugurated a committee on Personnel Data Based system development as part plans overhaul its staff and payroll system.
Speaking during the inauguration at Government House, Ilorin, Governor Ahmed stated the committee was necessitated by the need to put in place a modernized database of state and local government civil servants for planning and monitoring purposes.
Ahmed said the committee’s terms of reference include to ascertain the authenticity of all records of personnel in the state civil service, identify the shortcomings of the existing payroll system with the aim of upgrading it and also to integrate the state central database to ensure reliable data registry.
Governor Ahmed, who is also chairman of the Committee, listed additional responsibilities to include the identification of measures for authenticating the employment and retirement status of all staff, carryout deployment of Identity Management System using chip and pin and to chart the deployment of online payroll management system.
Other members of the committee include Sola Isiaka Gold, Secretary to the State Government-Alternate Chairman, Yusuf Babatunde Abdulwahab, Chief of Staff, Member, Mrs. Zarah Omar, Head of Service, Member, Ibrahim Kayode Adeyemi, Member and Mr. Yomi Ogunsola.
The Committee also include Dr. Muyideen Akorede, member, Mr. Benjamin Fatigun, Member, Mr. F.S.O Adefila, member, Suleiman Ishola, Accountant General, Member, Abdulrahman Sidiq, Member, Nasiru Ibrahim, Member and David A. Adeshina, Secretary.
