Determined to lift the CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) trophy for the first time when the 2026 edition gets on the way in Morocco in three weeks time, Ghana’s senior women’s team Black Queens today walloped their Hong Kong opponents 4-0 in the first match of the Pink Ladies Cup in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The annual invitational tournament also features Tanzania, Russia, and Hong Kong, holding from February 28 to March 6, 2026.
Two goals in each half ensured that Ghana ended the match 4-0 on the day with 26-year-old Princess Marfo scoring in 28′ while forward Doris Boadwuaa, making it two goals for Ghana in the 40′ to end the first half 2-0 up.
Two minutes into the resumption, another attacker, Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah, scored the third goal in 47′ just as Zora Ajegipina scored the 4th goal in 87′ as Ghana thrashed Hong Kong 4-0.
Ghana’s next match is against fellow Africans Tanzania in a match, which will test their ability to withstand a tougher opposition.
