The role of education in moulding lives, building families, and edifying societies, so as to mitigate poverty, immorality, and lawlessness, has, again been stressed to local, national, and international government organs.
Chairman of the Board of Trinity International College, Mr. Samuel Olatunji, who underscored the crucial nature of the right kind of education in changing societies, spoke at the Press Conference to signal the 20th Anniversary Celebrations of Trinity international College, Ofada, in Ogun state on Thursday November 12, 2015.
Mr. Olatunji pointed out that even developed countries, such as the United Kingdom and the United States of America, have continued to harp on the need for governments to elevate education to its proper pedestal. Indeed, in the new set of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), education was given a pride of place.
He therefore advised the incoming Nigerian Minister of education, Adamu Adamu, and the Minister of State, Education, Professor Anthony Onwuka, to do all in their power to push for unprecedented heights of investment in education at the local, states and federal levels. “There is no good example of an ignorance-led society, whereas, many examples abound of knowledge-led societies which have made their marks globally,” he said.
In this regard, therefore, the teaching profession needs continuous updating, curriculum adjustments, and value-adding supervision, to ensure that the sector is delivering the best, in order to make it a centre stage of national development and achievement. He stated that Trinity International College is committed to standards, both for its teaching and non- teaching staff, knowing that education is about building lives.

About Trinity International College
Trinity International College, which has the motto, “Building Lives in Partnership with Christ”, opened its doors to seven tiny children on October 8, 1995, at Adekunle Fajuyi Way, G. R. A. Ikeja, in response to noticeable concerns in academic and moral standards from even the flagship education models of the time.
The goal of the promoters was, and still is, to create an educational model that not only emphasizes academic excellence, but also strength of character and spiritual growth and development.
