As reported by Prompt News Online last week, President Muhammadu Buhari has directed no fewer than 20 permanent secretaries to proceed on compulsory retirement.
The President told the affected permanent secretaries on Tuesday during a meeting he held with them at the State House.
They were led to the meeting which was closed door by the acting Head of Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Ekamen Oyo-Ita.
Prompt News had reported last week that the President had resolved to send all the permanent secretaries who had soiled their hands during the immediate past regime on retirement.
It was in view of this that he appointed the number 25th person in the ranking of the permanent secretaries, Oyo-Ita as the acting Head of Service.
