Commuters, mainly holidaymakers from the South-East and South South returning to Abuja and other Northern states have been stranded for several hours at Ganaga village near Lokoja as heavy duty vehicles blocked the single lane road on Tuesday after leaving passengers in a lurch.
Worse still, the Ganaga narrow bridge which can only take one vehicle each side is in a deplorable condition making free movements impossible for several hours.
As at the time of filling this report vehicular movements have remained standstill for five hours without any sign of law enforcement agents and Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) or Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO) to control traffic.
The situation looks like passengers will pass the night on the hold up which has stretch to Ajaokuta Steel Rolling Mills.
