By Victoria Hanson The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Lagos State Council has advised the new ministers to hit the ground running by making Nigerians feel the real impact of change.
In a statement issued on Saturday and signed by the Lagos chairperson, Mrs. Dupe Olaoye Osinkolu, the association said the impact should cut across different sectors such as health, infrastructures, education, power, economy, security, and other sectors within the stipulated time.
The association made the call at the end of November congress held over the weekend, calling on those agitating for the state of Biafra to do so peacefully and avoid resorting to road blocks thus disturbing free movement of the citizens.
Furthermore, the group again condemned the rampant cases of rape and called for stiffer penalties against offenders in order to serve as deterrent to others.
Lagos NAWOJ also enjoined Nigerians to keep up their prayers for God’s guidance for our leaders at all levels.
