Afrobeat star Seun Kuti had a close brush with danger in the United States after a stray bullet struck the window of his hotel room.
The singer shared a video of the incident on Instagram, revealing a bullet hole in the glass and describing the shocking moment.
“Tell me you’re in America without telling me you’re in America. I’m in my hotel room just chilling and boom,” he said in the clip.
The video captured the aftermath, showing visible damage caused by the bullet.
Though visibly shaken, Seun Kuti was unharmed. In the caption, he remarked, “I read somewhere that these are the civilized people,” expressing his disbelief and concern about safety in a country often seen as orderly.
