Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has once again raised the bar in the Nigerian film industry with her latest comedy blockbuster, Everybody Loves Jenifa.
The film has earned an astounding N783 million at the box office, becoming the highest-grossing Nollywood movie of 2024.
According to Film One, a leading movie distribution platform, the movie raked in an impressive N107 million on Boxing Day alone, solidifying its place as a festive season favorite.
Celebrating the milestone, Film One shared on their platform, “Everybody Loves Jenifa is smashing records this festive season! On Boxing Day alone, it made over N107 million. When you’re big, you’re big! Thank you for the love and support.”
The film’s success is a testament to Akindele’s exceptional skills in writing, acting, and production, supported by a talented cast and crew.
Audiences have lauded the movie for its relatable characters, sharp dialogue, and hilarious storylines, making it a crowd-pleaser.
This achievement adds to Akindele’s illustrious career, as her previous films, including A Tribe Called Judah, Battle on Buka Street, and Omo Ghetto: The Saga, also dominate the list of Nollywood’s highest-grossing movies.
With Everybody Loves Jenifa, Funke Akindele has further cemented her status as one of the most influential figures in Nollywood.
