Super Eagles assistant coach Daniel Ogunmodede says they are determined to secure a place at the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) at the expense of Ghana.
The Black Galaxies have stopped Nigeria from qualifying for the CHAN twice in the past.
The two rivals are battling to secure a place in the next competition.
The home-based Super Eagles held the Didi Dramani’s side to a 0-0 draw in the first leg.
“We know history is not good to us with this country (Ghana) so we’ve decided not to pay attention to what history has done to us, we are focused on the present and what the future holds for us,” Ogunmodede said on NFF TV.
“We know how important it is to qualify, we have good future for ourselves, players, coaches, the country and coming generation.”
The second leg will hold at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Saturday.
