Super Eagles caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen has undergone successful surgery.
The surgery, according to SCORENigeria was carried out in Belgium.
Eguavoen was scheduled to undergo the operation earlier in the year, but it was put off so that he can guide the Super Eagles to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
In his absence, Remo Stars coach Daniel Ogunmodede has taken charge of the home-based Super Eagles for the 2024 African Nations Championship qualifier against Back Galaxies of Ghana.
“It was a successful surgery and he will now do the usual follow-ups,” a source close to the gaffer disclosed to SCORENigeria.
The former defender is the NFF technical director and was given temporary charge of the Super Eagles pending the appointment of a foreign coach.
