Daniel Ogunmodede lauded his players for their spirited display in the goalless draw against the Black Galaxies of Ghana.
The home Eagles put up a resolute display to come out unscathed at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Ogunmodede said qualifying for the CHAN is of great importance to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
“I am satisfied with the draw,” he said after the game.
“Now it is for us to qualify for the CHAN.
“Qualification will add more value to our league, the players and the indigenous coaches.”
The reverse fixture will hold at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Saturday.
The overall winners will advance to the delayed 2024 CHAN to be played in February in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
