Ademola Lookman has explained the role played by Atalanta in his massive development.
Lookman‘s career has witnessed a remarkable rise since his arrival at the Gewiss Stadium from Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig two years ago.
The 27-year-old finished 14th in the Ballon d’or ranking this year.
The electric winger was crowned Africa’s best player at the CAF Awards in Marrakech, Morocco on Monday night.
The Nigerian credited Atalanta for providing an enabling environment for him to thrive.
“I think the environment that the club (Atalanta) gave me has been very key to obviously my growth as a player,” Lookman told Flashcore.
“And also, just timing, you know, I’ve always believed in myself and to be able to achieve great things. But, yeah, the time has come and, you know, just blessed to be here.”
