Nigerian singer Iyanya Mbuka, popularly known as Iyanya, announced on Tuesday, 10th of December, that he wants to support his fans and followers as the holiday season approaches.
The ‘Kukere crooner’ shared his plans to give away money equal to the current cost of a bag of rice.
He tweeted, “How much be bag of rice ? make I start to give out some bags of rice (money equivalent),” Iyanya tweeted.
Shortly after the singer tweeted, Nigerians rushed to comment with their thoughts.
One comment caught Iyanya’s eye, where a user claimed a bag of rice was selling for N200k.
Iyanya replied, asking what kind of rice was worth that price.
