Nigerian singer and former signee of Jonzing Record, Michael Adebayo, popularly known as Ruger, has gained international fame in his music career.
The singer’s song “Asiwaju” has been certified gold in France, meaning it has sold over 500,000 copies in various formats.
A post on Instagram and X highlighted that “Asiwaju” has also reached 15 million streams.
Fans of Ruger celebrated this achievement, and even supporters of Wizkid FC joined in the congratulations.
Recently, Ruger, who admires Wizkid and his music, reached out to him on X.
He requested that Wizkid allow him to take over his fanbase when he decides to retire, especially if his son Zion isn’t planning to pursue music.
He wrote, “@wizkidayo if you ever decide to not do music again, and Zion no wan do music sef, pls write my name Ruger as the person to inherit your fanbase in your music will.”
Wizkid has not yet replied to Ruger’s request.
The Starboy leader has one of the most dedicated fanbases in Africa, known as Wizkid FC.
