Chelsea captain Reece James has suffered a fresh hamstring injury and will miss the Blues trip to Leicester City on Saturday.
The England international recently returned to action for the Premier League giants.
The defender sustained the latest injury during training on Tuesday.
James is now set for another spell on the sidelines, with manager Enzo Maresca unsure how long he will be ruled out.
“We have just one injured player, that is Reece,” Maresca said, ahead of Saturday’s lunchtime trip to face his former club.
“He felt something and we don’t want to take any risks for the weekend. He is the only one that is not available for this weekend.
“It’s a muscular problem. We don’t want to take any risks for this weekend and hopefully it’s not something long.
“At the moment we don’t know how long. Then we’ll see.”
