Edo Queens head coach Moses Aduku has talked up his team’s impressive victory over Commercial Bank FC of Ethiopia.
The Nigerian champions started their campaign at the CAF Women’s Champions League with a comfortable 3-0 victory over their fellow debutants.
Aduku praised his players for their effort in the game.
”We played a wonderful game, the victory was sweet, we got our chances and we took them,” he told the club’s media.
” The game was very tough, our opponent are not a pushover, we denied them the opportunity of playing ,and tried to impose our game, we got the opportunity, and scored.
” If you must stay in the competition, you need to win your first game, that was our mindset.
” As a debutant, we believe, if we win, we have the opportunity to move ahead.”
Edo Queens will face FC Masar of Egypt in their next game on Wednesday.
