Recall that Young Thug was taken into custody in May 2022 on charges related to racketeering and gang activity, along with several members of his YSL Records label.
As reported by The New York Times, he was released on Thursday after agreeing to a plea deal, which includes a 15-year probation period.
During this probation, Young Thug is required to complete 100 hours of community service and give four anti-gang talks to kids each year.
It’s also important to mention that his trial has been one of the longest in Georgia’s history.
In other news, Chidimma Adetshina, a Nigerian-born South African beauty queen, is about to lose her South African ID and travel documents.
Chidimma, who received a lot of attention for her participation in the Miss South Africa pageant, was followed by disputes surrounding her identification, with people questioning her eligibility. This forced her to withdraw from the competition and compete in the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant, which she won.
Home Affairs stated on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, that the 22-year-old model, who was born to a Nigerian father, would have her South African identification documents withdrawn.
According to BBC reports, her mother’s documents would also be terminated because both of them failed to establish reasons for keeping them by the deadline.
According to the BBC, Tommy Makhode, a top civil servant in the department, stated that Chidimma’s case was sent to Hawks, a special police team, and that investigations determined that it was a case of fraud.
