Oyo State Government, on Friday, assured residents of the state that the ongoing township road rehabilitation would not be limited to Ibadan, the state capital.
Chairman of the State Road Maintenance Agency (OYSROMA), Mr Raphael Ogunlade, gave the assurance while inspecting some ongoing road rehabilitation projects within Ibadan metropolis.
Ogunlade said there would be even distribution of the road rehabilitation works across the three senatorial districts in the state.
He noted that there had been concerns from some people in other zones regarding the township rehabilitation projects.
“Gov. Seyi Makinde has assured residents of Oyo State that the road rehabilitation is not only going to be done in Ibadan but will be extended to other zones till the whole state is covered,” he said.
The OYSROMA boss pleaded with residents of other zones to exercise more patience, saying that the township roads in their zones would soon be attended to.
He expressed satisfaction with the level of work done so far by the contractors handling the Ibadan township road rehabilitation projects.
Ogunlade commended the governor for his commitment to the dream of making the state roads the best in the country. (NAN).
