Flamingos midfielder Taiwo Afolabi has been named Player of the Match following the team’s victory over New Zealand.
Bankole Olowookere’s side thrashed New Zealand 4-1 in their opening game at the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup on Wednesday.
Afolabi showed her quality by bossing the midfield.
The talented playmaker also scored the Flamingos fourth goal of the game played at the CFC Stadium.
The youngster was in action for the entire duration of the encounter.
The Flamingos will take on Ecuador in their next Group A game on Saturday night.
