The organisers of BBNaija reality show have announced some adjustments to the rules for the ongoing season, introducing new dynamics to the game.
These changes come after the introduction of several twists in BBNaija Season 9, including the Custodian Challenge, the Head of House (HOH) ballot, and allowing housemates to vote for the eviction of the bottom four pairs.
The original rules had granted Custodians the power to influence evictions and the HOH ballot, while they themselves were exempt from eviction.
The Head of House, however, did not enjoy this immunity.
During Sunday’s live show, the host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, revealed that Biggie has now abolished the Custodian Challenge and the HOH ballot.
Additionally, housemates will no longer have the authority to vote for the eviction of the bottom four pairs.
In a return to traditional gameplay, Biggie reinstated immunity for the Head of House, ensuring the HOH cannot be evicted during their reign.
However, the HOH will no longer have the power to “save and replace” a nominated housemate.
According to the latest rules, the housemates will now nominate each other for eviction, while viewers hold the ultimate power to evict through public voting.
