Three years after missing out on a medal by 0.01 seconds at the Tokyo Olympics, Emily Craig and Imgoen Grant are now Olympic champions!
Craig has a poster on her bedroom wall of the moment they finished fourth in Japan to remind her of that pain, but today the back-to-back world and European champions have banished those ghosts in emphatic fashion, coming across the finish line in 6:47.06.
Silver goes to Romania and Gianina Elena van Groningen/Ionela Livia Cozmiuc, with Dimitra Kontou/Zoi Fitsiou taking bronze for Greece.
🥇Great Britain: 6:47.06
🥈Romania: 6:48.78
🥉Greece: 6:49.28 (Olympics)
