The Judiciary in Bayelsa will commence its annual vacation from Aug. 1 till Sept. 13, after which it will commence the legal year activities.
This was disclosed in a statement issued in Yenagoa on Thursday by the Head of Media and Information, Bayelsa Judiciary, Mr Julius Nyananyo.
According to the statement, normal court sittings will resume on Sept. 23 after the legal year activities.
The statement says the Chief Judge of Bayelsa approved the annual vacation in line with Order 45, Rule 4 (d) of the Bayelsa State High Court Rules 2010.
It assured the public, lawyers and litigants with urgent matters during the period that vacation judges would be available to attend to such urgent issues. (NAN).
